About The Encinitas Business Exchange (EBX)

The EBX is a fun, professional group of business owners and managers who understand how networking really works. There are NO CORPORATE  RULES or fines as found in many other networking groups. Many of the members have been attending for over 20 years which is a testament to The Encinitas Business Exchange’s power and effectiveness. It is important for you to attend each meeting but it is understood that an occasional absence occurs.

How It Works

The EBX meets every Wednesday from 6:50 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. (except Holidays). The first order of business is to get some coffee, orange juice or tea and then fill your plate at the delicious breakfast buffet. An introduction by our Board members starts the meeting. Then any new guests are given time to introduce themselves. This is followed by members discussing the referrals they have given or received during the previous week. It is not uncommon for 10-20 referrals to have been given. Any birthdays or anniversaries are then announced which in turn is followed by our speaker of the day. Every member will have the opprtunity to speak about their background and the products/services they provide for 20 minutes, about once per year. Following a small break, leads us to the topic of the day. This is the time where each member has approximately one minute to remind everyone who they are and what they do and provide their response to the topic of the day. Topics often are of an educational value. For example, the EBX may discuss how one’s company deals with slow payers or a discussion may involve the most cost-effective marketing strategy that has worked for them. The meeting adjourns at 8:00 but you are free to network indivdually afterwards.
